Latest research released by Reuters Health as shown that Green Tea and plenty of exercise is an aid to fight depression often suffered by breast cancer survivors.

They used 1400 women that were over 55 years of age as samples. These women had been treated for breast cancer between 2002 and 2007. Assessments were taken in 2002 and again in 2007.

Green tea may modify the effect of the risk of cancer on the lung from smoking cigarettes. Results of a recent hospital based investigation conducted in Taiwan have been very promising. The study was carried out by 170 patients with cancer of the lung and 350 patients without cancer as a control. Information was gathered from all the test subjects using a question and answer form. They asked about the amount of green tea they drink in a day, smoking habits, family history, general health and food eaten. Those who did not drink green tea smokers and non-smokers had a 6 fold increase of lung cancer compared with those that did not. Among smokers those who did not drink green tea had a 13 fold chance of contracting lung cancer compared with the subjects that drank more than 1 cup of green tea a day. See the American Association for cancer research for more information.
